While writing this piece, William Blake's poetic words were constantly surging: "To see a World in a Grain of Sand, And a Heaven in a Wild Flower, Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand, And Eternity in an hour." In a time and place where twentieth century music is excluded from people's daily life and is treated with indifference, the action of creating and presenting music is like a flash soon disappearing into darkness. But it's my hope that in this short instant of flashing, the world and heaven, the infinity and the eternity, can be sensed by those few who are seeking.

This work was writtem for my Namaste Suite, short pieces only 1 minute long. In only 1 minute, Hope Lee gives to the bass clarinet many colours with much cantabilità or with much rhythm. The range used is complete. I was very honoured for receiving this work by her.
