Festive Winds begins with a short introduction before we hear a light, airy and fresh-sounding passage. The original character of this march is above all in the trio, which conjures up the sounds of a big band with its bluesy style. The work was commissioned by the Société Cantonale des Musiques Vaudise to celebrate the 27th festival of the French canton of Vaudois in Savigny, Switzerland, where the march was given its première by a mass ensemble.

Festive Winds begint met een korte inleiding, waarna een luchtige passage volgt, die heel licht en fris klinkt. De originaliteit van deze mars ligt vooral in het trio: dat heeft een bluesachtig karakter en doet qua sound denken aan een bigband. Het werk is geschreven in opdracht van de Société Cantonale des Musiques Vaudoises (SCMV), ter gelegenheid van het 27e Festival Cantonal, dat in 2013 zal worden gehouden in het Zwitserse Savigny, waar de mars in groot verband zal worden uitgevoerd.

Festive Winds beginnt mit einer kurzen Einleitung, dann folgt eine leicht, luftig und frisch anmutende Passage. Das Originelle an diesem Marsch ist vor allem das Trio, das mit seinem bluesartigen Charakter an den Sound einer Big Band erinnert. Das Werk wurde im Auftrag der Société Cantonale des Musiques Vaudise anlässlich des 27. Festival des französischen Kantons Vaudois im Schweizerischen Savigny geschrieben, wo der Marsch im großen Verband uraufgeführt wurde.

Festive Winds (Vents de Fête) est une marche qui, après une brève introduction, présente un caractère léger et plein de fraîcheur. L’originalité de cette pièce réside dans le trio qui se développe dans un style bluesy, évoquant des sonorités proches de celles des big bands. Cette pièce est une commande de la Société Cantonale des Musiques Vaudoises (SCMV), l’occasion de la 27e fête cantonale - Savigny 2013 (Suisse), et constitue le morceau d’ensemble de cette fête.

Festive Winds inzia con una breve introduzione prima di lasciare spazio ad un passaggio leggero, arioso e dal suono fresco. Il personaggio originale di questa marcia è soprattutto nel trio, che evoca i suoni di una grande band con il suo stile blues. Il lavoro fu commissionato dalla Société Cantonale des Musiques Vaudoise per celebrare il 27 ° Festival del cantone di Vaud a Savigny, Svizzera, dove la Marcia è stata presentata in anteprima da un grande ensemble.
