Here are 15 duets for piano and organ for a variety of occasions throughout the church year. There are selections for Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving and general occasions. These settings are derived from Joel's popular series of "Worship Openers." While the "Worship Openers" are extended works that include optional handbells, choir, and sometimes brass, these arrangements have been condensed and modified in order to make them more accessible for busy church musicians who are looking for exciting preludes, offertories, and special music. Two books are needed for performance.

Check out this generous selection of closing voluntaries for a festive service or a bit of ivory-tickling fun at a recital or concert. All you need is a decent piano and organ and a willing partner to play along. Each piece is based on a well-known hymn tune...

, mostly good hymns to sing at the end of a service; so it's easy to follow the last hymn with something of a flourish on that special occasion to send the congregation out in style. The problem is they won't want to go once you get started, so prepare another piece to get them out afterwards. These pieces are not instantly sight-readable so make sure you have put aside some practice time with your playing partner! Don't forget to buy two copies - one for the pianist and another for the organist. I have printed out our copies as separate pieces, comb-bound with separate covers, for ease of use (the whole collection would be heavy and cumbersome) and you'll probably only use one title at a time. Great for UK audiences, too!
