About Fast Track Music Instruction

FastTrack is (you guessed it!) a fast way for beginners to learn to play that instrument they just bought. FastTrack is different from other method books: we've made them user-friendly with plenty of cool songs that make it easy and fun for players to teach themselves. Plus, the last section of all the FastTracks books have the same songs so that students can form a band and jam together.

Time is a limited for me and I have not even held a saxophone previously so I was not expecting too much. I have not had time to listen to the CD as yet but from following the basic instructions, I can at least play one scale. There is obvious...

hope! Service from the retailer was excellent; good price and speedy shipment to Canada. Thanks

No pressure, just read, listen to the CD and play along. I am having a tough time "knocking off" from practicing because it is a blast to learn this way. Great booklet/CD combo.

I am a professonal saxophonist and teacher. I have been playing for 14 years and teaching for 3. This book has worked really well with my less motivated students. It has turned many of them around because of its more tune based "fun" approach. I do not, however, use it...

with my most advanced students as they are more self-motivated and need more technical study than this book offers. The only thing I don't like about the book is the way in which the saxophonist on the Demo CD interprets most of the tunes. He comes off as being kind of cheesy and square. However, this factor alone is not reason enough to keep me from using it.
