A jazzy, bluesy, exciting work that catches the listener from the very beginning. The Fanfares contain rhythmic alterations within the normal common time structure. These flourishes build dynamically, and are interrupted several times by the Riffs, which are also syncopated and built on melodic alterations or"blue notes" not in the customary major or minor scales or church modes.
