Organ
32 Fairly Easy Organ Pieces for Everyday Use. Composed by Sigfrid Karg-Elert (1877-1933). Edited by Martin Weyer. Edition Breitkopf.

Although Sigfrid Karg-Elert has long made his way from insider's tip to widely acknowledged master, his organ pieces are still considered technically demanding today.

Early 20th Century. Breitkopf and Haertel #EB-8759. Published by Breitkopf and Haertel (BR.EB-8759).

Item Number: BR.EB-8759

ISBN 979-0-004-18192-8. 12 x 9 in inches.

Although Sigfrid Karg-Elert has long made his way from insider's tip to widely acknowledged master, his organ pieces are still considered technically demanding today. A Karg-Elert for Beginners book was long overdue, and Martin Weyer's collection facile ma non troppo is just what we needed. The 32 pieces, which include short works with or without a chorale reference, are relatively easy to perform. Moreover, the chorale preludes have been transposed to the hymnal keys used today. In addition to being wonderfully suited for organ practice and teaching, this new collection will also help organists discover a previously little-known side to Karg-Elert.
