Hey Beginning piano students...one of your own wrote this just for you.
This is a beginning study in Broken Triads. Great practice in 1-3-5 fingered hand position. They are all root position triads so you must jump slightly to find the next chord. Good practice in landing in the correct position. The repeated chord progression is Em-C-G-D.
I also use this as a Sight Reading piece for Beginning students and they love it. It is Contemporary Classical with a slight Pop feel.
This piece was written, entirely on his own, by one of my beginning piano students. All I did was typeset it for him, leaving everything just the way he wrote it. He titled it Etude Diesis (Sharp Study) because the D triad has an F# in it, and this was his first piece with a sharp so he was proud of it! (He even looked up the Italian words for it to make it sound official.)
So my young student is sharing this, from one beginning pianist to another.
