    This is an excellent book to really cement the basics of musical theory. It requires 100% participation from the user, so sharpen a few pencils and get ready to use them.

  • January 24, 2008 Good music theory book for adults.

    As an adult amateur musician I was looking for a music theory self-instruction book that wasn't written for a child. A friend recommended this book and I am glad she did. I am about halfway through the book and I have found it to be very easy to...

    follow with numerous exercises to reinforce the lesson. It is very comprehensive yet the topics are explained very clearly and concisely. I didn't purchase the answer book but I have found that it really isn't necessary since you can double check yourself very easily. I highly recommend this book.
