SKU: A0.1030789

Composed by GUANG YANG. 20th Century,Classical,Contemporary. Score and parts. 10 pages. GUANG YANG #2031371. Published by GUANG YANG (A0.1030789).

It was written for John Corigliano's masterclass in Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 2012. He assigned a topic on "The architecture of music" and asked that "the young composers should write a work (piano quintet or string quartet would be fine) in which they build their short pieces with architecture (or form) in mind. " within limited time. It was the most structure-organized and explicit pieces of my all compositions. The performance was only seen by 20 composers in the masterclass, which means it's brand new piece for the musical-world, and it was a really successful and inspiring performance!! John Corigliano was satisfied of my interpretation of the topic and called it "an ingenious work" !!!!
