This first book in the Jazz Conception series by Jim Snidero is a great introduction to different jazz styles and typical riffs. It starts out very easy and increases in difficulty to intermediate level. It is perfect for someone like myself who can't improvise to learn common riffs and...

tone styles. The accompanying soundtrack is great quality with nice count-ins. I found the book very enjoyable to play as well as a good tool for working out technical patterns.
