This intermediate piece combines the two tunes of the title. The music is easy to read, but Do You Hear What I Hear is a gentle carol, requiring, in my view, a delicate setting, to portray the idea of echoing. This arrangement is a bit heavy, with lots of low...

octaves in the bass. You could abandon the lower bass note of the octave, but then the chords played by the right hand seem a bit dense in comparison. The piece does come to life in the short sections where the left hand plays broken chords and I would prefer this lighter style throughout.
