Published by M.G.Turner (A0.938558).This original nonete (Flute, 1st Bb Clarinet, 2nd Bb Clarinet, Alto Sax, Baritone Sax, Bb Trumpet, Tuba, Timpani & Percussion) was first premiered at the University of Leeds in the UK. As a composer I utilized melodic serialism, consonant whole tone harmonies, intriguing chromatics, frequent syncopation, and a jazz flavour in several sections. Solos are presented by: Flute, Bb Trumpet, Baritone Sax and Tuba. The timpani and percussion (suspended cymbal being used in a "high hat" style and a woodblock keep things moving well. A number of my other original ensemble pieces are listed under my full name: Mark G. Turner.
