I am a big fan of Dan Coates' arrangements and his selection of songs to arrange. I have several of his late intermediate and advanced music books. The songs in this book are from the 1940's and 1950's, so you may not be familiar with them. As always...

, the arrangements are going to take some work. You will not be able to play these songs where you even recognize the tune the first few times you run through the notes, but it you stay with it, you will be richly rewarded. Dan's arrangement start out in the middle of the key board and then move up an octave or two as you finish. A lot of fun to learn.

I have another book of arrangements by Dan Coates. This book is equally as good. His arrangements are very pleasant to hear and play.

I recently bought this book, and feel it is a great addition to my library. I like the selections and the arrangements. "At Last" is particularly fun, as it is not difficult and the rythym is easy to follow. I'm an experienced pianist playing for fun and this book...

    fits the bill!
