The Crusader's Hymn is one of the most well-known and loved tunes in the world. Of unknown origin, it was first published in 1842, and there are reports of the hymn being sung by haymakers in Silesia (a section of Poland). It is adaptable to a wide variety of uses and instrumentations and is easily recognized by audiences everywhere.
