All eight concertos [BA 5224-BA 5231] are presented in piano reductions with separate orchestra parts. Not only is the piano reduction suitable for conducting from the harpsichord, it also enables the works to be played on two harpsichords. All of Bach's solo harpsichord concertos are now available with the"Urtext"of the New Bach Edition.

    Difficulty Level:

This is an excellent edition. High quality printing of urtext. Includes a second part containing only keyboard part, which is useful for learning the part with fewer page turns. Other part contains a second keyboard accompaniment that includes the voices that are not already played by the solo keyboard (there...

are many doublings with strings) so if played with second keyboard, the sound remains transparent. I recommend the entire series of Bärenreiter series of Bach keyboard concerti.
