This piece makes a great recital piece. The contrast between the two slow movements and the two fast keeps the listener attentive, and it is very lyrical. Plus, the fast movements contain some technical passages. Great piece - I am helping a student on it right now!

a level A solo for the oboe, range low C to high Eb above the staff. nice lyrical music. 2 slow movements 2 fast movements. the fast movements are technically challenging in just a few spots. classic oboe literature that all high school level oboists should learn
