First of all, this piece is a wonderful composition. Shostakovich at his best. If you need some comparisons, it reminds me of Beethoven's "Pathetique" Sonata MVT 1 with a little bit of DSCH's 2nd Piano Concerto flare thrown in (which makes sense since he wrote this piece and...

that one for his son). I enjoyed the edition as well. I had another, earlier edition and that one was a bit smaller print and didn't have any fingerings. Even though fingers are a very personal thing, having some reference points are very helpful. I use some of the fingerings (and have thrown out some). Because of the big print, you can see the notes and everything clearly, but page turns are a bit tricky to figure out when practicing sections (because they can go on and on with DSCH). Everyone should get this! It's a great duet piece and totally fun to put together with someone else.
