I have bought many books for my alto sax before, but few if any can compare to this. It gives many different styles of playing and is just fun altogether.

I am a woodwind student and have only been learning a few years, but this book has provided me with very many and wonderful different styles and pieces of music. I love it, it hasn't left me once!

This book has many important pieces that cover a range of styles. The previous reviewer must not of musically understood the piece & pieces in this book. They are lyrical, technical and a very important stepping stone to take a player from beginning to intermediate to some advanced pieces. It does...

take a private teacher to show the player how to approach these tunes. This book is not only recommended by many festivals & adjudicators, but they are great lessons on becoming an expressive soloist whether your goal is to play classically or even to become a great jazz soloist. Both required great tone & technique. Five stars! *****

I played this song this year for solo at regionals and boy I will never play this song again, not only does it not have any melody its just a bunch of difficult rythems that I just can't see why they're there.
