    I thought the clarification of just how ragtime should be played was interesting. I was dsiappointed that Bethene was not included in the selections I think it is far the best of his music. Expressing joy and sadness.

    This is a fine book with easy-to-read notation. It has some good rags, but misses Joplin's two-steps and waltzes. By far the best ragtime anthology is Rudi Blesh's "Classic Piano Rags," but it's now out of print. This Joplin collection will have to do...

    This book has most of joplin's rags but is missing one or two such as the chrysanthemum and lily queen. However all the songs sound apsolutely fantastic.
