What a Friend for Sinners; Our Great Savior; and Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus. The lilting melody makes it a wonderful source for piano solo music. This arrangement draws on the Welsh flavor of the original melody by using the Mixolydian mode. The middle section is a spirited passage which places the melody in a syncopated upper line. The final section presents a triumphant close which echoes back to the opening Mixolydian mode. Keys: G-major, Ab-major.
