The chords presented here may sound vaguely right in your living room, but for most songs they really bear little resemblance to the chords MCC plays. 'Come On Come On,' for instance, is in a truly bizarre tuning, but you'd never know it from this book. Same with 'I...

Am A Town.' They don't even bother to tell you when to use a capo (MCC has never, ever played anything in the key of F!). Unless you play the piano, you're better off with 'The Authentic Guitar Style Of Mary Chapin Carpenter,' which is excellent.

There is debate wheather or not the Mary Chapin songbooks are accurate. Althought the guitar chords are not exactly what Chapin plays, they still work for the songs, and if your like me, a beginner who just wants to play music they like, the chord diagrams let you do that...

. I give Come On Come on 5 Stars because it is not only a great songbook book but also a great album and I recommend both.
