The three-part mixed arrangement makes this one a great choir for small choirs. The verses are mostly in unison, and the refrain is repeated throughout, which makes the piece a fairly quick learn. My choir of 16-18 people picked it up in three rehearsals (and I only have...

about 3 music-readers) which makes this piece very accessible. The text is thoughtful and provides opportunities for dynamic contrast and musical expression. It's compassionate without being syrupy, and makes a nice anthem for Pentecost or other community-oriented Sundays.
