Claudia Dumschat plays a program of early baroque and 20th-century music on the C. B. Fisk Opus 92 organ at the Church of the Transfiguration (aka The Little Church Around the Corner) in midtown Manhattan, New York City USA. Claudia Dumschat is Organist and Choirmaster at Church of the Transfiguration, a national landmark also known as "The Little Church Around the Corner," in Manhattan. The church hosts an active concert series and a professional choir of men and boys, the oldest such choir not affiliated with a school in the city. She is also Co-Artistic Director and Conductor of nexus Arts, which combines classical music with dance, poetry, and the visual arts. She was awarded the BM, MM, and DMA degrees from the Manhattan School of Music. While there she was twice awarded the Claire Coci Award for Excellence in Organ Performance.
