I was looking for a book of "ready to play" material, and some of these are all right for sight reading but a quarter will take some repetition and another quarter can be played up to speed after considerable practice. A great and varied choice of tunes. Because of the...

speed of some tunes, I upped the difficulty...

My guitarist and I have used this book over and over for our busy wedding gigs, and consider it not only one of the best flute/guitar collections but also one of the best arranged. The flute and the guitar interplay... it is not simply a "flute" book "accompanied" by...

guitar. We have received many compliments on thest pieces.

  • 2009-04-08 00:00:00.0 The best duets for a perfect gig!!

I've looked at all the literature available for flute and guitar and this is by far the best I've found. I play my guitar part not only with a flutist, but also with a mandolin player and I think the pieces sound better with the latter combination. What...

I like most is that in these gorgeous arrangements both instruments have plenty of opportunities to take the lead while the other stays in the background. The guitar part is not terribly difficult, but it's not very easy either. I do have to put my time working at it. I guess that's the main reason why I love this book, which is really stretching my musical abilities. And we do sound great when we get it right!!

This is a very useful set of pieces for flute and guitar, from very familiar to somewhat less well known works. It is possible to please many listeners with this. My guitar player is extremely happy with the editing of the guitar part.

I am a classical mandolinist, and perform in a duo format with a classical guiatrist. We found these arrangements very nice to perform in a variety of venues.
