A unique collection of classical piano solos appropriate for church services as well as concerts and personal enjoyment. These carefully edited or arranged pieces represent a number of well-known composers and were chosen because of their indefinable quality of reverence and artistic expression. Each piece can create a feeling of peace, joy, calmness, love, comfort, and an overall sense of well being for the listener. The book includes selections by Scarlatti, Gluck, Schumann, Handel, Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, and many others. The author also provides suggestions of appropriate pieces for various times during a church service. Most of the pieces are intermediate in difficulty; a few are slightly more advanced. The author offers encouragement to the pianist: It has been said that Music is the language of Heaven and cannot be spoken in words. As you play these beautiful pieces, I pray that you will be uplifted as well as the listeners.

Selections are good for "quiet" music (introit etc.) but not great for postludes.

Nice collection of pieces that are not too long. Lots of familiar pieces gathered in one convenient place, plus some that are new to me. Very useful!

Great book, every piece is wonderful and useful. Also, I like that level of difficulty is moderate : I have years of training , so it doesn't feel good to play really easy arrangements, but it is still easy enough to go through few times and get it done. Hours of...

    preparation doesn't pay back financially!
