This is a great arrangement. In response to the music scholar, understanding that the original was in 3/4, MercyMe did a wonderful arrangement in 4/4 whicha is an incredible interpretation of the original, and is now a favourite on my Christmas playlist. Please give this arrangement a chance...

, look up the MercyMe version online for a listen, and I promise that you will be pleasantly surprised if you can unhinge from the original to hear this arrangement on it's merits.

I'm a composer with a Master's Degree in Music, 13 years experience as a high school band director, and I'm in publishing. The biggest problem with this arrangement is that it is in 4/4, while the original is in 3/4. If you don't mind...

it bearing only a passing resemblance to the original, then it's a fair arrangement. Note also it is in a different key, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but you should be aware of it.
