Christmas Sanctus by Lee Dengler 4-Part - Sheet Music

By Lee Dengler

Original Christmas song This Christmas text combines the tender beauty of the nativity story with the age old grandeur of the Sanctus. The music weds the simplicity of the stable in Bethlehem to a deeply worshipful exaltation of the promised Savior. It builds in intensity through the final refrain, with an optional soprano descant which enhances its brilliance and then ends with an intimate, quiet final statement reflecting the awe felt by all who experience Christ's presence on earth.

Beautiful

I bought this a few years ago for the choir I was leading at the time. We had a soprano with a lovely top range who sang the descant. It is full of meaning and very expressive. I am now using it with another choir and the descant is sung by a small group. They love it.

Christmas Sanctus

Beautiful, the piece just radiates peace. We used this for our church Christmas (2017) program and sang it as an Octet. So many people commented on the lovely Spirit it brought to the program. It is a new favorite. We will be using this again! Love it!

Sang It Two Years in a Row

We have loved this song so much, we sang it two years in a row for our Christmas program. It sounds rich a full even with a smaller choir. This is one of our new favorite Christmas songs.

Christmas Sanctus

Very easy to learn. You can bring your heart into this title by varying from piano to forte and change the speed. Very soft ending. Piano accompaniment is retty to play.

Christmas sanctus

Lovely piece of work, easy to teach non music readers in an afternoon and enjoyed by the audience as well.

Simply beautiful

This was a perfect choice for Christmas Eve for our small choir. It was relatively easily learned, but very worshipful. We have a violinist in the choir who played the melody of the introduction and the interlude, and also the descant part and continued to the end with his own ad lib. It added a wonderful touch to the piece.

Truly beautiful

We used this in our Christmas cantata service which took place yesterday (12/15/13). Our music director's choice of music this year was very strong - full of good stuff - but this was just about my favorite. The simplicity of it and the profound message are a great combination. I would say it's not difficult but requires a delicate touch.
