An excellent book of Christmas tunes! I was pleasantly surprised to discover a piano accompaniment part along with the viola part and the play along CD. Several of the more well known pieces are parts of medleys, which limits their use a bit, but not so much as to be...

a real detriment. The arrangements are interesting, and the CD accompaniment is rich, with more than just a piano playing along. As a long time violinist adding the viola, the pieces are quite simple, though perhaps a bit more difficult than an absolute beginner could manage. In terms of Suzuki method, I would look at this book for supplemental music at the Minuets of book 1 or later. The piano part is somewhat more difficult than the hymns in the average church hymnal. Altogether, an excellent choice.
