    These "old" Bastien Christmas books are the best out there. They include every Christmas carol anyone would know, not a lot of silly games or excessive text on the pages, and are in hand positions (or later, keys) that all students learn. I've tried newer Christmas books, but these...

    My students LOVE this collection! Two just started taking lessons in April & are thrilled that they can play most of these! A bit of "extra practice" for them, but the melodies are so familiar & the arrangements are easy yet rewarding...just a great addition to their growing cache of pieces...

    & so fun for them to play for their families! they simply cannot wait for their next week's lesson to learn some more!

    One of my first-year students started this book last October--wanted to finish most of the book by Christmas. The student loved having her own book of Christmas carols, learned the songs very quickly, and played them for family and friends at a small Christmas recital in my home...

    . The book was added to her regular lesson books. Because the songs were familiar, she played them easily.

    My students have been very excited to have their own book of Christmas music.. It has inspired them to practice more than usual. They LOVE being able to play familiar carols for the family
