I'm a pianist trying to tackle guitar, and for me this explained a lot. It helped me out with strumming, which just seems kinda foreign to me from dealing with keys on the piano. I would recommend this to anybody trying to teach themselves, especially if you are coming...

from a piano background. I will say, however, that most of the songs in the book are incomplete, probably due to the fact that you don't know the rest of the chords in the song yet. For example, there might only be the verse and no chorus, or vice versa. Don't plan on playing these in church or anything.
