Composed by Gustav Holst. Arranged by John Gibson. 20th Century,Celtic,Christmas,Folk,Irish. 21 pages. JB Linear #5735973. Published by JB Linear (A0.582117).

Written in 1926 for piano, Chrissemas (Christmas) Day in the Morning used an English folk song, "O Dame get up and Bake your Pies, on Chrissemas Day in the Morning". It has a happy, exciting mood with piquant harmonies. All four parts get the song from time to time and there is a surprise "noise" at the end. It is set by John Gibson for 4 Bb Clarinets.Special note: since this is not necessarily a "Christmas-y" piece, you may wish to title it: "A Northumbrian Pipe-Tune" and play it at any time of year!
