I have been studying piano for about 13 years now and my teacher wanted me to be exposed to contemporary music not just classical. This book does a very good job of exposing the not as well know contemporary composers. The pieces are not too advanced but they may take...

some people time to work through because of the tricky rythmic patterns, thick chords, and sometimes very high or low sections (sooooo many ledger lines). But overall very worth the purchase. This book has shown me what a joy more modern music is and I am looking forward to playing more in the future.
