    Great books for students not ready for Chopin and romantic masters, or students who don't want to play "classical" music. I follow this series with the Preludes (pieces in all 24 keys).

    This book, just like all of the Celebrated books by Robert Vandall, is a favorite with my students. His pieces are pretty as well as fun to play. I use them as supplemental material along side a Piano Method. They are good for music theory as well as technik (although...

    I don't tell them that), and make the student sound like they are farther along than they really are. I recommend all of his music, especially for the students who do not want to play classical, and teachers who are tired of Disney music and want to sneak in pieces that sound classical without the students knowing it.
