Composed by Georges Bizet. Arranged by Diego Marani. Classical,Concert,Instructional,Romantic Period,Standards. 16 pages. Diego Marani #4633309. Published by Diego Marani (A0.528059).

Georges Bizet composed L'Arlésienne as incidental music to Alphonse Daudet's play of the same name, usually translated as The Girl from Arles. Bizet arranged his work into a suite of four movements. Now known as L'Arlésienne Suite No. 1, the suite used a full symphony orchestra but without the chorus.

In this arrangement for sax quartet (Bb Soprano, Eb Alto, Bb Tenor, Eb Baritone) we have Carillon, the last movement of the suite. It features a repeating bell-tone pattern, mimicking a peal of church bells.
