A super-energytune – especially when repeated at a brisk tempo! Listen to the excerpt and you'll agree. This fun chart reached #11 on the US Billboard Hot Rhythm & Blues Singles Chart in 1965 and was used inthe famous BLUES BROTHERS movie as an introductory tune for the band.
Easy key with multiple courtesy accidentals and well-marked rehearsal numbersreduce the amount of time needed in rehearsal and improve performance. Note: The wind parts are fairly easy, but the Electric Bass line is a real finger-twister.
The highly-flexible "BcP-Flex" scoring* imitates the classic rockband sound by using only 4 "instruments/voices" - lead, rhythm, bass, and drums:
Lead: Flute, Clarinets, Alto Sax, Trumpets
Rhythm: Trombone, Horn, TC Baritone, Tenor Sax,
Bass: Electric Bass, Tuba, Bari Sax
Drums: This arrangement includes a written drum set part, but it isoften easier to get the drummer to "pick-up" the tune by listening tothe chart.
Parts are formatted to fit in a flip-folder, but print on letter-sized paper ifyou prefer to use 3-ring binders.
