I'm pleased with this. I'm a dabbler with fair ability to sightread, and I'm finding these arrangements to be playable. Most will need a little practice, but they sound very good, unlike easier arrangements. Also, the ones I have tried so far stand alone as piano solos...

and are not merely suitable as accompaniments. I'm not too sure of what is meant by Intermediate/advanced, but I have worked my way through some moderately difficult classical pieces such as Chopin waltzes and can play them fairly well after lots of practice. If that's you, you won't have any trouble with this book.

Love the book, it has a lot of songs I remember and had been searching for. Some of the chords on some of the songs are hard to do, so this book is probably for the more advanced guitarist who knows short cuts to the chords in ways that are...

easier to finger. My little fingers just can't stretch very far on some of the chords. Some of them are rather difficult for me. Overall I do recommend this book to anyone who wants some of the hits from the 70s.

  • Februar 25, 2008 Not arranged like the originals

About Billboard - Top Rock 'n' Roll Hits of the 70's I was just looking at "American Pie", and it's NOT arranged like the way Don McClean wrote it or the way that it sounds like on the CD. I won't buy books that aren't exactly like...

the original recording. What's the point?

In my opinion this is really void of any musical or rythmic feel - just a "sea" of notes on pages- I find it easier and more satisfying to play from a true Fake Book !

Thank you for the excellent book with the greatest 70's songs. The arrangements are great and the collection of songs is even greater.
