Jazz Icons DVDs feature full-length concerts and in-studio performances by the greatest legends of jazz, filmed all over the world from the 1950s through the 1970s. Beautifully transferred from the original masters, each DVD features rare performances that have never been officially released on home video and, in many cases, were never broadcast. Each DVD includes a booklet with liner notes, rare photos and a memorabilia collage. Produced with the full support and cooperation of the artists or their estates.

Five separate performances from one of the most revered pianists in music history, Bill Evans, are the centerpiece of this DVD. Covering an 11-year span and highlighting Evans' ever-deepening artistry, he performs with four different all-star rhythm sections, including the stunning duo of bassist Niels-Henning Orsted Pedersen and drummer Alan Dawson. Also includes rare performances of “Sareen Jurer,” “Blue Serge” and “Twelve Tone Tune Two,” plus a live performance of “My Melancholy Baby” with saxophonist Lee Konitz. 98 minutes.

Songs performed from the 1964 Sweden concert include: My Foolish Heart • Israel.

Songs performed from the 1965 France concert include: Detour Ahead • My Melancholy Baby.

Songs performed from the 1970 Denmark concert include: Emily • Alfie • Someday My Prince Will Come.
