I just love this piece. It is a bit difficult at first, but not exceptionally so. It is fun to learn and very beautifully melodic.

  • January 18, 2012 Berceuse

I remember writing a review about this piece on a website in 2007, stating that one of my major life goals was learning Chopin's Berceuse. Well, it's now 2011, I'm almost 18, and I can honestly say I've done it and am going to use it...

for college admissions next year. The piece is absolutely beautiful-- it captures the essence of tranquility and can be used in any occasion. The melody provides constant suspense and release that keeps the audience engaged. Moreover, it's appropriate for any occasion imaginable-- from church to playing for friends. I originally thought that the piece was going to be extremely difficult to master, but it actually wasn't as bad as it sounds. The five flats look intimidating, but the music makes the notes feel natural and they seem to just flow under the fingers. You can't go wrong learning this piece.

  • January 16, 2008 an fascinating piece

It is a wonderful nice piece of music. It will take me some time to play it all. Just started. Luckly I have a CD by Wibi Soerjadi, a Dutch pianoplayer, who play this piece aswell, so I can listen how it supposed to by played. That makes it a...

bit easier. I am pretty excited, that I already managed to play the first page. It is a fantastic music to play.
