Music is a language that is common to everyone. To all who desire it, the knowledge of music should be made available and the successful performance of it should be made available and the successful performance of it should be made possible. With this double purpose in mind, the author has written the BELWIN PIANO METHOD in such a manner that you will have a better-than-average chance to play well and to get the fullest enjoyment from your music experience. There are five books in this Method which is designed for anyone from school age through adulthood. On the inside back cover of each one you will find a summary of the information that has been presented in that book. In this, the Book One, occasional pencil work in the form of QUESTION and ANSWER BOXES has been included. A program of FINGER PLANNING, which is an aid to fluent reading as well as efficient fingering, is introduced early in the book. The inclusion of small blank boxes under the or over various notes, in which finger numbers are to be written after the fingering plan has been decided upon, begins on page 28 and continues throughout Book Two.

    Difficulty Level:
  • March 27, 2007 Great Supplemental Method

This course isn't a comprehensive method, and therefore makes a better supplement than primary course. As such, however, it is wonderful. The approach to reading relies on FACE in the treble and GECA in the base as landmarks, with the other notes being measured from those landmarks. There are...

numerous recital type pieces in the course, making the course a useful collection for repertoire building. The format of the course makes it useful for students of all ages. Even adults find the appearance of the pieces suitable for their interests.
