You won't be dissappointed with this book. I have never been as interested in one book as I am in this one. The CD covers almost everything that is in the book. You will have to stop the CD and practice each lesson for a while before moving on...

. It doesn't take long to get to the more advanced techniques. I am struggling a little when it gets to the chord inversions, but I enjoy the challenge. This book was worth the money! My only wish is that Arnie Berle and Mark Galbo would come out with a second book!! Would be nice to have a whole book with just songs that use the lessons from the first book.

Got the book last Xmas, can now play (sort of) 5 varied blues picking styles. Bits of R Johnson, Mississippi John Hurt and Memphis Minnie.I was a raw beginner. The CD is good , but could do with the 5 pieces played at 1/2 tempo so you have a...

chance of working on the rythm at less than flat out pace. The main excercises seem a little dull and a wee bit more on double stopping and fretting techniques would have been handy. However I have enjoyed the learning and the excercises though basic are very good discipline.32-20 Blues , M and O blues and Black Rat Swing are in E, Beekman and Big road blues are in drop D. If you want to learn fingerstyle blues this is a great way to start.
