Aledort is a really good player and starts the DVD of with a good piece that you will wish you could play, but there is no written music included so it is easy to get lost if you don't know what he is doing (Andy tells you a lot...

of it, but not enough). Also there is place where he covers "walk up" figures and combines two things he has shown you, which you will not get if you you are beginner. You would need the tabluture or notes. He covers a lot including scales, and they are shown on the screen, but you need them on paper to use them.DVD and book on Blues guitar by Keith Wyatt, and CDs with books by Mimi Fox (Arpegios) and Dave Rubin (12 bar Blues and the Shuffle) are better buys but this is certainly a dvd that you will want someday, it just could be better, like a great lesson with but you have to take notes. If you have not done lessons like Keith Wyatt's beginner series or know a little about music theory, this will be a struggle for you.

The performer is good, he really knows what he is doing (I´m talking about the palying), but isn't shown all the chords on the fretboard, the progressions. As I'm a beginner I expected to see everything step by step, then gather everything and at the end play...

the song. Unfortunately it doesn't help at all, but as I love Blues guitar, I'll try another one. Thanks. A.Lima
