Composed by Bud Caputo. Jazz,Standards. Score and parts. 36 pages. Bud Caputo #3091955. Published by Bud Caputo (A0.826629).

Bebopin’ Jazz Strings is an original tune that follows the traditional 32 measure song structure similar to songs from the Great American Song Book. A full practice track is available on YouTube. The addition of a rhythm section with optional guitar, provides a true "Bid Band" flavor but for strings. There is a section for improvisation with a written-out jazz solo for the young jazz improviser.  All parts remain in first position with some optional octaves in the first violin. Students will have to grasp the concept of swinging jazz eight notes bowing style where four eight notes in a classical, Latin, or rock style,  equal two triplets with the first two eight notes tied in each group.Or alla Sinatra, sooc-be doo-be doo!
