Composed by W.C. Handy. Arranged by Wayne Land. Blues,Jazz. 22 pages. Kenneth Wayne Land #4301987. Published by Kenneth Wayne Land (A0.777197).

Captures the spirit of traditional blues in a playable arrangement.  Includes optional bass guitar and drum parts but is effective as a stand alone SATB Sax quartet.  Includes an 8 bar chorus open for solos.  Should be performed in a rather loose playing style consistent with old time blues bands.  Tempo works effectively anywhere from Adagio to Allegro making this chart very versatile.  Suggestion: try starting at a very slow tempo and then picking it up to a more lively feel at the D.S. a la New Orleans funeral lines.
