It comprises a good collection of phrases which can be tweaked and used in any playing situation. The intermediate student should notice how musical ideas are joined with runs...

    to create phrases; not just what group of notes to play over a given chord. The student would do well to notice how Barry uses the sus 4 to color a given phrase. And notice how he uses the IIIm partial of the Maj 7 chord. Interesting, too, is 5 bar passage in Dream (p.11), starting on bar 5. He takes a standard rotation device, which would normally consist of 4 eighth-note triplets in one barand expands it to a long, 5 bar phrase by the use of rests and tied notes. By all means, add this one to your collection.
