    Difficulty Level:
  • March 16, 2009 Fun book for the campfire!

I am a middle-aged woman teaching myself the guitar and this book is great and fun! My grandsons think their Omi (grandma) is really cool playing the guitar! We camp a lot and I'm having fun playing around the campfire!

  • September 04, 2008 Great for Campfire sing alongs

Great! I was impressed with the simplicity of just the words we all know and the cords. Lots of neat info in beginning from a transposing chart to backpacking tid-bits. Lots of bang for the buck. Better than the other one I ordered for 20 bucks.

    Difficulty Level:
  • April 19, 2007 A quick learning tool.

For a "Backpackers Songbook" I thought it was a great idea to include the first aid section. I'm a retired Firefighter/Paramedic and have not seen this before. Kudos to the person who thought of this. I also like the way they explained and showed the transposing of chords...

. I've seen those for guitar but this is one of the few I've seen for banjo, my instrument. I love it. It makes it easy for me to learn backup songs faster the way they did it here. I'm an intermediate player but have been involved with music since 1964. I love it. More than I expected, especially for the price. Many thanks.

Don't let the small size of the book fool you-it's filled with lots of songs we all know. This is a great size book to take along with you. This is a great value for the price.
