Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by R.K.Piper. Baroque Period,World,Recital. Individual Part,Score,Sheet Music Single,Solo Part,Tablature. 3 pages. Published by RKPiper (S0.283783).

The Bourrée in E minor BWV996 for Lute has influenced musicians of all genres. The Beatle's Paul McCartney has cited it as an influence on Blackbird and Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page has played the opening section as part of the solo of a live performance of Heartbreaker (google).
Bach's original composition is in the form of A repeat, B repeat. My arrangement is A repeat B then a coda combining elements of A and B.
Bourrée, is a 17th C French folk dance characteristically danced with quick, skipping steps. The dancers occasionally wore wooden clogs to emphasize the sounds made by their feet. The bourrée was among the dances from which ballet derived its early steps. The pas de bourrée is usually a small, quick step executed before a larger step. Composers would also incorporate them into suites, more for listening than dancing (Britannica).
