By Miniature Men. By Henry Mancini. Arranged by Dan Severino - Piano Teacher Press. Film/TV. Score. 5 pages. Piano Teacher Press #3096089. Published by Piano Teacher Press (A0.864781).

Baby Elephant Walk by Henry Mancini is a theme song from the movie Hatari; a film about the dangerous job of those who captured wild animals for zoos.

I made this arrangement for the intermediate piano student. This arrangement is great for voicing and differentiating parts. This arrangement is different from many of my others in that I give many directives in the score as to dynamics and touch to help the student in their interpretation. Movie Themes are great for recitals and the great variety of musical and technical ideas found in the arrangement should make this a fine audition piece, too.   But, I think adults should find great enjoyment in playing this piece of Mancini Magic.
