Baby Elephant Walk by Henry Mancini from the Paramount picture HATARI!. This happy tune is set for Clarinet Ensemble with Clarinet 1-2-3, Alto Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, and optional Bb Contra. There is also an alternate Eb Soprano since the original song used an Eb. The Alto part has an alternate 4th Bb clarinet if desired. The story goes that this part of the motion picture was unplanned and not in the script, but when they noticed that there were 3 young elephants who took a liking to Liza Minelli and followed her around, they used the idea and Henry Mancini wrote this very popular tune just for that scene. The setting is by John Gibson and is dedicated to the Hockinson High School Clarinet Section (Washington).
