2017 Holiday Contest Entry

This arrangement of Away in a Manger is appropriate for the more solemn and traditional Christmas Eve services, yet the interwoven moving lines make it make it a joy to perform for holiday dinner receptions, theme concerts, and school recitals.

Flexible instrumentation allows for and additional Clarinet to cover the Oboe part and Bass Clarinet to substitute for Bassoon, if necessary or desired.

Although this arrangement is designed for intermediate players, an advanced group could keep it handy as an "easy reader" for holiday gigs where longer sets are necessary.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
