Brass Quintet - Early Intermediate
Composed by Kerry Mills 1897. Arranged by Jud Goodrich. Ragtime. Score, Set of Parts. 8 pages. Published by Judson Goodrich (S0.47291).

Item Number: S0.47291

This is a brass quintet arrangement of the most popular of the cakewalk songs, songs played since plantation times when dancing couples competed for a cake. The sheet music had this disclaimer: "This March was not intended to be a part of the religious exercises at a Georgia Camp Meeting, but when the young folks got together they felt as if they needed some amusement. A Cake Walk was suggested and held in a quiet place near by - hence this music." Included is a Trombone 2 part doubling the Horn.
